MVA was built on nearly 20 years of voice teaching and a lifetime of real-world performance experience. Founded by voice teacher and professional performer Melody Molinaro, the academy brings technically informed voice training together with musicianship, creativity, performance and artist development — so students learn more than how to sing. WHY I BUILT MVA
I wanted singers to have more than a weekly lesson.
Long before MVA had a storefront — or I had made a life in music — I was a little girl singing alone in my backyard. I remember freshly cut grass, making up songs on the spot, and robins on the power lines as my first audience. Out there, I found creativity, warmth, wonder, and the feeling that there was something inside me that wanted to be heard.

I carried that feeling with me as I grew up. I came to believe that every singer has something inside them worth discovering — and that it deserves a warm, safe place to be heard, shared, and celebrated.

That’s why I built MVA. I wanted singers to have serious, technically informed training without losing the part that makes music deeply personal — the vulnerability, joy, wonder, and creative spark that made them want to sing in the first place.
